Bob Dettmer, a Leader with a Servant's Heart!

Welcome

Neighbor-

The historic results from Tuesday's election bring us equally large shares of opportunity and responsibility.

For the first time ever Republicans will hold a majority in both the House and Senate and it's our job to bring forth common-sense, sustainable solutions that will make our state an even better place to live and work.
The 2011 session begins Jan. 4 and we have a lot of set-up work to do before then. The House will welcome incoming members at a dinner tonight and then we will elect our new House speaker and majority leader Saturday. Committee chairmanships will be designated soon and then the committee assignments will be issued.

It is important to get these housekeeping items taken care of asap so we can be prepared to hit the ground running when the session begins. The challenges we face are significant and it's in everyone's best interests to address them in a timely manner. Our top priorities must be getting the economy back on track, helping people get back to work and helping government to live within its means.

I am humbled by the support the people in our area have shown for me and feel blessed to continue serving during such a pivotal time in our state's history. Your input is very valuable to me and I welcome your thoughts as we prepare for the upcoming session and beyond.

Sincerely,

Bob Dettmer
State Representative District 52A
